.: home       .: services       .: news/events       .: contacts       .: links Children who are in Year 3 of Junior School are eligible to enrol on the preparation course for Reconciliation and Holy Communion. The enrolment is usually in September with an opening meeting for parents. The course followed is 'I belong' which involves children and parents working together on themed sessions using a workbook. These sessions are helped with the support of catechists who work and support the children and parents in monthly meetings. The themes are celebrated in Parish Masses and have the support of the whole community. The preparation programme begins after Christmas and ends at the end of June. Older children who wish to receive this Sacrament are prepared in a separate group for the younger ones. Before application is made parents should be regular in Mass attendance, and if they have particular questions or needs they should contact the Parish priest.
