Marriage, a lifelong union between a man and a
woman for procreation and mutual support, is a
natural institution, but it is also one of the
seven sacraments of the Catholic Church.
It reflects the union of Jesus Christ and His
Church.
The union of two people in the eyes of Christ is
without doubt one of the most important unions
you will ever make in your life and is not a
decision to taken lightly.
Couples intending to marry are asked to inform
the Parish priest as soon as possible, usually
six (6) months notice is required. During this
period the couple will have time to reflect on
the nature of the permanent commitment they are
undertaking, and the meaning of Marriage in the
Christian life.

A period of informal discussions are
arranged to help the couple focus on their
preparations. For those getting married abroad,
time is needed to prepare the necessary
paperwork. Couples are advised to contact the
parish priest to inform him of their intentions. |
